Pinot Noir tasting notes:
2016 Dois Irmaos Winery
Two Brothers Private Selection
Willamette Valley, Oregon
Red. Medium Garnet.
Notes: Strawberries, Black Cherries, Blackcurrant with hints of vanilla.
Palate: Moderate plus structure/alcohol with medium acidity. Ripe Cherries, Licorice, Raspberries, Strawberries with a lingering finish of cocoa and vanilla.
Lately I tend to lean towards the Willamette Valley for any new world Pinot Noir wines.
Their coastal climate is perfect for this delicate, thin skinned grape. The structure is smooth and can be enjoyed with or without food. Oregon has built its reputation on its delicate Pinot Noirs.
